Prayers for Peace on Anniversary
August 6, 2007
I was driving home and listening to the radio today and I found out that today is the 62 anniversary of the World War II U.S. nuclear bombing of Hiroshima, and in a few days following, on the 9th, of Nagasaki, Japan.
It was a very, very sad time, and my prayers join with the survivors that atomic warfare will never happen again, and that all nuclear weapons will be eliminated.
"Let us pledge here and now to take all actions required to bequeath to future generations a nuclear weapons free world." – Hiroshima Mayor, Tadatoshi Akimba
