The Vancouver Giants WHL hockey team is in Moosejaw playing the Warriors.  They played the first two games of the in Vancouver and the Giants won both those games.  The games are being carried on Shaw community channel, and we went to the game on Saturday night.  It was great hockey!  We had a wonderful time watching, we had really good seats and delicious White Spot burgers.  The attendance was about 13, 800 fans (including a handful of Warriors fans).
The next few games are being played in Moose Jaw at their Civic Centre, also dubbed the "crushed can."  It is a really unique little hockey arena with a capacity of about three thousand.  I call it unique because it has unusual architecture with a severe slope to the roof.  Inside, the fans from one side cannot see the fans on the other side because the roof slopes down so much in the middle.
Good luck Giants, we are very proud of our team!  Hope you ride the White Wave all the way to Moncton!
