Spring is the air and on the ground

April 4, 2006
You can tell it is full spring in Vancouver when the trees are busting out in the flowers, the crocuses are finished and the daffodils are competing with hyacinth and other bulbs.  But you can really tell it is spring when you take a walk in the woods and you find a fat little yellow slug making his way across the trail.  Yup, saw my first one of the season yesterday and he had a lot of slime.  Some people think of robins, we have slimy slugs.
