Dumb old tin cup!

January 17, 2006
Nuts, we didn’t make the official record books for the most consecutive days of rain in the area.  The weather office says that the record from 1953 still stands because the recording station at the airport did not get more then 0.2 mm of rain on Sunday.  This stretch officially was 27 consecutive days of rain.  For the record, I would like to say that in the area I live, it definately rained on Sunday, and more then 0.2mm.

We suspect that the dumb old measuring cup at the airport was checked so often that it couldn’t catch any rain.  I can see it now, the meteorologist picking it up and looking inside saying, "is that moisture?" I should have gone over there and spit in it.
