Ukrainian traditional Christmas recipie

Here is a dish that is eaten at Christmas by Ukrainians.  Just a note however, Ukrainians don’t celebrate Christmas until January 7th, because their church follows the Julian calender.
Subject: Kutia

– 2 cups wheat (soft spring wheat or tritocaly)
– 1 cup poppy seed
– 1/2 cup honey
– 1/4 cup walnuts
> Boil the water and then simmer the wheat with water so it is covered until it softens and starts to crack (1 hour). 
> Cool the wheat after draining
> Pour boiling over the poppy seed and lets it soak for 10 minutes
> Drain through cheese cloth and let dry for 30 min
> Grind the poppy seed.
> Add the ground poppy to cooked wheat
> Add equal amount of hot water to the honey
> Add all the ingredients and stir together
> you can add coconut if you wish or some similiar
